Friends of Dennis Recreation is a nonprofit that pays for local kids' recreation programs. It's one of the ways we ease the burden for families living on Cape Cod.
Friends of Dennis Recreation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, tax ID 43-2102456. We're not affiliated with the Town of Dennis.
What we do
We raise money for local families and pay for their kids' recreation programs, so every child gets a full summer like everyone else's.
We want to do more than hand out checks, too. We've supported a pizza party for a local school and helped with an event at summer camp, where kids try new things and make memories.
Dennis Road Race
The last Saturday of July, and our biggest fundraiser. We create and sell the race shirts, and the local businesses who sponsor them make it possible for us to give back.
Halloweenpalooza
The last Saturday in October. It's built around a cornhole tournament and gives kids another reason to wear their costumes. Our sponsors cover the face painting, balloon artist, magician and candy haunt, and admission is free.
Where the money goes
We pay recreation program fees for Dennis families who may not have the means, so their kids get a full summer like everyone else's.
